Maserati convertibles have always been well-received because they are designed for true connoisseurs.

Created by master coachbuilder Pininfarina, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is distinguished by its soft-top roof. When closed, the roof follows the original contours of the car, with a hood that has a V-shaped, forward-slanting design. Once the roof is open (at the touch of a button, the car transforms from a high-performance coupé into a cabriolet in just 24 seconds even when traveling up to 20 mph) the car has a vibrant profile accentuated by low ground clearance and long hood design.
Elegant sidelines feature chrome elements, and a continuous chrome trim segment surrounds the cabin and integrates with the third rear stop light. At the rear of the car, triangular light units are formed by 96 LEDs and large, 20” alloy wheels enhance the car’s athletic, sporty personality.
Yet, the GranTurismo Convertible is more than just good looks. The V-8 engine tops out at 433 HP and is combined with a six-speed ZF automatic transmission that ensures smooth and precise gear shifts. The Skyhook electronic suspension system instantly adapts to the driver’s style and road conditions via an automatic variable damping system. The engine delivers superb acceleration even in high gears, and engine sound is enhanced by the sport exhaust system that delivers a rewarding engine roar.

Safety is just as important as style. The passenger side airbag adapts the intensity of its inflation to the size of the occupant. New head and chest airbags set in the front seats provide protection from side impacts, while seatbelts are equipped with the latest pre-tensioners and load limiters.
The car’s dynamic handling is constantly monitored and optimized by the Maserati Stability Program (MSP) that corrects the onset of a skid by reducing engine torque. High performance Brembo brakes are comprised of cast iron for the braking surface and an aluminum hub, and are coupled with six-piston aluminum brake calipers to ensure unbeatable stopping power while maintaining high resistance to fade. The Brake Assist System (BAS) has a dedicated sensor to recognize panic braking by measuring the speed at which the brake pedal is depressed and starts braking even before the driver has started to brake. This shortens the stopping distance for thrilling stops and starts.
Inside, the GranTurismo Convertible is the only drop-top in its class to offer ample, comfortable space for four adults in an elegant and luxurious cabin. The insulated canvas roof, which adds only 143 pounds to overall weight, is comprised of three layers to ensure quiet, acoustic isolation. With the top down and two on board, interior air flow can be further minimized with an optional windstop. For the ultimate in comfort, the air conditioning system recognizes how the car is being driven (top up or down), and automatically resets ventilation and climate control to help maintain the set temperature.
Aesthetics and comfort are delivered via the finest materials and craftsmanship: the leather was handcrafted by Poltrona Frau® and is available in two new colors, Bianco Polare and Blu Profondità; a selection of prestigious wood trim on the dashboard, door panel and rear areas is available in a new “Dark Chrome” color with optional choice of various lacquer finishes or precious woods, including Carbalho and Moonwood; custom chrome rings enhance the dashboard switches and steering wheel; and Alcantara touches the fingertips on the back of the steering wheel shift paddles. Plus, there are two available finishes for the alloy wheels (Silver or Mercury Gray) and six colors for the brake calipers (red painted calipers are standard equipment).
